The supporters of Marquês de Herval booed when Airborne FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Principe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Paulo Barreto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Casimiro Jatsu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dida Taffarel. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. Airborne FC's Luan Mota quite brazenly broke a throw-in by José Maria Ramalho, made in the 14th minute of the game. 16 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goalkeeper Dida Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casimiro Jatsu. Dida Taffarel made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Casimiro Jatsu sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes into the game, José Maria Ramalho threw the ball into play from the sideline. Airborne FC's Luan Mota quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 26th minute, Airborne FC's Casimiro Jatsu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Dida Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Jatsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Casimiro Jatsu struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Dida Taffarel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Airborne FC. In the 47th match minute, Marquês de Herval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Martins to maneuver through the defense. In the 49th minute, Alfredo Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Casimiro Jatsu was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, José Maria Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 54 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by José Maria Ramalho. In the 55th minute, Casimiro Jatsu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Airborne FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Pedro Paulo Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Martins in the 59th minute of play. Dida Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casimiro Jatsu in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 76thth minute of the game Casimiro Jatsu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 81 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by Moussa Kabre. Casimiro Jatsu might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dida Taffarel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Casimiro Jatsu ran back to his position shaking his head. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Jatsu in the 88th minute of play. Casimiro Jatsu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
