EGPS's Anastasio Sol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josué Paiva in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, VARGINHA FC's Marcus Tande got a free kick in the 15th minute. VARGINHA FC's Dito Novaes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save VARGINHA FC from getting a goal against them. EGPS's Anastasio Sol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Álvaro Gaspar in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Josué Paiva in the 30th minute of play forced EGPS's goalkeeper Anastasio Sol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, EGPS's goal looked a bit too open when Álvaro Gaspar came free, but Anastasio Sol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anastasio Sol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josué Paiva in the 35th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in EGPS's zone, Benito Gaufred stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anastasio Sol came out of the goal and Benito Gaufred tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of VARGINHA FC booed when EGPS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konrad Dziura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafinha Alagoano kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

VARGINHA FC's Patxi Palenzuela got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
