Cristian Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Pedro Meirelles read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Pedro Paulo Vieira came out of the goal in the 41st minute to try and stop a shot by Tomb Raider FC's Pedro Luiz Cordeiro. But to his dismay, Pedro Luiz Cordeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Váldson Palmeira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Paulo Vieira. That made the score 4-0 in the 47 minute of play.

The wind increased when Rogério Arce made the kick off in the second half. Tomb Raider FC's João Pedro Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Mano in the 53rd minute of play. Calangos do Cerrado-DF were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Tomb Raider FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sebastian Messi took the corner. The supporters of Tomb Raider FC booed when Calangos do Cerrado-DF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Paulo Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Váldson Palmeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Pedro Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Arce in the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Tomb Raider FC's goalkeeper João Pedro Meirelles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rogério Arce. Balthazar Minnen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Pedro Paulo Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Pedro Meirelles was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rogério Arce showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-1 in the 88 minute of play. After some careless play in the Calangos do Cerrado-DF defense, Balthazar Minnen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Paulo Vieira. The Calangos do Cerrado-DF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Paulo Vieira should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Tomb Raider FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Calangos do Cerrado-DF had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
