Luís de Moraes scored 2-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wágner Santana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 17 played minutes Caveira FC Rondoniense got a freekick which was hit by Alfredão Vander. If Egídio de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wágner Santana was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luís de Moraes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 21 minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Esperança FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adilson de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. After 27 played minutes Andrézinho das Neves rounded Caveira FC Rondoniense's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 4-0. Luís de Moraes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Wágner Santana made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Adilson de Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esperança FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Adilson de Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wágner Santana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luís de Moraes got free with Wágner Santana in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 33 minutes of play, Esperança FC's Andrézinho das Neves made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wágner Santana was left in no man's land by his defense there! Wágner Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrézinho das Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Esperança FC fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Esperança FC's Luís de Moraes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bebeto Ortiz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Egídio de Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Egídio de Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Caveira FC Rondoniense getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Egídio de Almeida hit a great ball. Wágner Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho das Neves in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Bastian Røyrvik ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wágner Santana was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís de Moraes in the 58th minute of play forced Caveira FC Rondoniense's goalkeeper Wágner Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Andrézinho das Neves made a precise shot to the right of Wágner Santana. Caveira FC Rondoniense's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Caveira FC Rondoniense's Wágner Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís de Moraes in the 64th minute of play. Wágner Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adilson de Alcântara, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Despite this Wágner Santana quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Caveira FC Rondoniense's Wágner Santana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís de Moraes in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Caveira FC Rondoniense's Sérgio Vieira got a free kick in the 85th minute.
