After some careless play in the Miau Stars defense, Vito Leite kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abdulkadir Eraslan. The Miau Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abdulkadir Eraslan should have stopped the shot. After having played for 30 minutes, Pedro Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miau Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Lucas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dobromir Brudnicki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdulkadir Eraslan having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Cöpacabana FC's goalkeeper Dagoberto Loureiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Dobromir Brudnicki made a kick off. Dagoberto Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doriva Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Fenomeno in the 55th minute of play forced Cöpacabana FC's goalkeeper Dagoberto Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Miau Stars's Ronaldo Fenomeno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dagoberto Loureiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Stig-Åke Benet came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Cöpacabana FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stig-Åke Benet couldn't finish the play. In the 94th play minute Dobromir Brudnicki came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Abdulkadir Eraslan. 1-2. The Cöpacabana FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
