Colognese FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Barnaba Kolba ran over to the corner to take the kick. Callegari's Dé Terra was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alfredinho Carneiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 25 minutes into the game, Edgard Batista recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rubinho Lago. Edgard Batista showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Alfredinho Carneiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnaba Kolba, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute.
