Barnaba Kolba started the match with the kick off. Angel Isusko charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angel Isusko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, Callegari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Isusko to maneuver through the defense. Rubinho Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doriva Tavares in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva Tavares in the 9th minute of play forced Callegari's goalkeeper Rubinho Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Callegari's Rubinho Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doriva Tavares in the 18th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Luís Fernando Laguna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Péter Pálffy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rubinho Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinícius Junior, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Péter Pálffy made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Eduardo Guerrero sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the match, Callegari's goal looked a bit too open when João Francisco Mota came free, but Rubinho Lago reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinícius Junior took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rubinho Lago. Rubinho Lago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Rubinho Lago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neycho Mudrov, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. With 45 minutes on the clock, Joaquim Xavier commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 44th minute, one of Capivara FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Capivara FC.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Doriva Tavares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Callegari's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luís Fernando Laguna in the 54th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Grigoris Gavril heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Rubinho Lago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doriva Tavares in the 56th minute. With a little luck, Callegari's Rubinho Lago got control of the ball when Zhang Chen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Capivara FC's Péter Pálffy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eduardo Guerrero in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Capivara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinícius Junior to maneuver through the defense. Callegari's Marcelinho Sergipano was substituted for Eduardo Guerrero. The supporters of Callegari booed when Capivara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinícius Junior didn't get a good kick on the ball. Péter Pálffy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelinho Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Callegari made a substitution. Felix Dragnea replaced Grigoris Gavril. In the 68th minute Callegari were awarded a corner. Luís Fernando Laguna went to the cornerflag to take it. Péter Pálffy came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Callegari's Luís Fernando Laguna. But to his dismay, Luís Fernando Laguna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Péter Pálffy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fernando Laguna, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 76 played minutes Capivara FC got a freekick which was hit by Bogumil Andrzejewski. In the 77th minute, Luís Fernando Laguna made a precise shot to the right of Péter Pálffy. Capivara FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Péter Pálffy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelinho Sergipano in the 80th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Capivara FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Callegari.
