In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Villaverde Celeste Clube's goalkeeper Nenko Reza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 22 played minutes Samurai Champions FC got a freekick which was hit by Elpidio Bidun. The Samurai Champions FC fans' excitement grew in the 28th match minute when Samurai Champions FC's Peter Santos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 30 played minutes Samurai Champions FC got a freekick which was hit by Faustão Ramalho. 32 minutes into the match, Samurai Champions FC's goal looked a bit too open when Roy Makaay came free, but Márcio de Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Roy Makaay was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Roy Makaay notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Samurai Champions FC's Márcio de Brito. Márcio de Brito was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Makaay in the 58th minute of play forced Samurai Champions FC's goalkeeper Márcio de Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Samurai Champions FC's goalkeeper Márcio de Brito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Samurai Champions FC's Reynaldo Froila slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nenko Reza. That made the score 3-3 after 84 minutes of play. Márcio de Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Makaay in the 87th minute of play. 87 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Villaverde Celeste Clube's Roy Makaay fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. If Roy Makaay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Valentín Pascal made in the 92nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Villaverde Celeste Clube's Dino Manfredi. 94 minutes into the game, Cido Recife recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nenko Reza. Cido Recife showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-4.
