The throw-in from Sergio Chus in the 2nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Samurai Champions FC's Tiberiu Romaşcanu. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peter Santos got free with Santo Lano in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Santo Lano got control of the ball when Peter Santos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Poul Stanković fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio de Brito having to interfere. Santo Lano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reynaldo Froila's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. After some careless play in the Samurai Champions FC defense, Poul Stanković kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Márcio de Brito. The Samurai Champions FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Márcio de Brito should have stopped the shot. Reynaldo Froila let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 17th minute shot 1-1 at rihgt post. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Santo Lano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Clube Audax Metropolitano from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute of the game Valentín Pascal made a throw-in which Peter Santos played forward. 33 minutes into the match, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Poul Stanković sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Márcio de Brito narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Poul Stanković took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Márcio de Brito. Márcio de Brito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. In the 46th minute Poul Stanković shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio de Brito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Clube Audax Metropolitano's Santo Lano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arif Gaffar Nadi in the 52nd minute of play. With a little luck, Samurai Champions FC's Márcio de Brito got control of the ball when Poul Stanković tried to sneak it across the goal line. Samurai Champions FC made a substitution. Luís Eduardo Batista replaced Amílton Cordeiro. The supporters of Samurai Champions FC booed when Clube Audax Metropolitano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sergio Chus didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Samurai Champions FC's Faustão Ramalho got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 67 minutes into the match, Samurai Champions FC's goalkeeper Márcio de Brito had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Poul Stanković. In the 68th minute, Faustão Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Bruno Aleixo was substituted for Claudinho Quadros. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Pedro Prestes was substituted for Poul Stanković. Santo Lano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cido Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. It was beautiful to see Clube Audax Metropolitano's Betinho Tróia in action when he in the 79th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Reynaldo Froila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Santo Lano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santo Lano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cido Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. D.J. 杨广 hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. After 93rd play minutes Cido Recife shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Santo Lano and just under the crossbar into goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
