Spectators: 8496 (Terracing: 6373, Seating: 1954, VIP seats: 169) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Charlie Vandamme started the match with the kick off. Renato Augusto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to S.E.R. Caxias do Sul getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Tarcisio Mangueira hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice moves Elce Teleagă could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Aurelio Walme however easily saved by the left post. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Renato Augusto got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Vandamme in the 31st minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Aurelio Walme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Johan Neeskens was slow to take the kick. During this time New Miran FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Johan Neeskens almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Aurelio Walme did a great save. Elce Teleagă in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Aurelio Walme, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Vandamme in the 38th minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Aurelio Walme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renato Augusto in the 44th minute of play forced New Miran FC's goalkeeper Gino Tonić to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th match minute, New Miran FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elce Teleagă to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, New Miran FC's Elce Teleagă got a free kick in the 48th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lucio Siekkötter was the one to do the kick off. Luís Braga hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 53rd minute Renato Augusto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gino Tonić saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gino Tonić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Owsiak in the 58th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Owsiak in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gino Tonić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mané Belino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurelio Walme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elce Teleagă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elce Teleagă struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Aurelio Walme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Miran FC. New Miran FC made a substitution. Wiliam Ferraz replaced Charlie Vandamme. Aurelio Walme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johan Neeskens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Percy da Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 80th minute of the match, Renato Augusto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gino Tonić saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Gino Tonić made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucio Siekkötter in the 85th minute. Aurelio Walme came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by New Miran FC's Johan Neeskens. But to his dismay, Johan Neeskens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Aurelio Walme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wiliam Ferraz in the 89th minute of the match. Gino Tonić made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Lucio Siekkötter sent off a good shot on target. Aurelio Walme showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wiliam Ferraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Gino Tonić made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Owsiak in the 96th minute.
