Guararapes's Romeu Guedes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernando Azevedo in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Guararapes's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Azevedo came free, but Romeu Guedes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Gernando Azevedo put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Romeu Guedes. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vinicio Bermudo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Guararapes's zone, Gernando Azevedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romeu Guedes came out of the goal and Gernando Azevedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Nuno do Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Guararapes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno do Nascimento couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Scarpa might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romeu Guedes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustavo Scarpa ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 80th minute Gabriel Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romeu Guedes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeu Guedes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Recife in the 84th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gabriel Recife in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romeu Guedes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's Andrey Tzanichev was substituted for Fortunato Froněk. Romeu Guedes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Recife in the 95th minute of the match. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's João Carlos Lucas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tenorio Urrue in the 97th minute of play. Los Andes FC - FSCMZ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
