The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cosme Pere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sílvio de Senna, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bruce Lee F.C.'s goalkeeper Iker Yashin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Dr Lecter SC booed when Bruce Lee F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jano Paes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute, Omid Kaulbach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cosme Pere made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Augusto do Nascimento in the 19th minute of play. Zé Augusto do Nascimento succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 19th playminute. 21 minutes into the match, Bruce Lee F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Corneliu Dridu came free, but Iker Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rdth minute of the game Carmelo Muno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dr Lecter SC's Cosme Pere was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cosme Pere took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sílvio de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cosme Pere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sulev Antsov in the 33rd minute of the match. In the 33rdth minute of the game Zé Augusto do Nascimento who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dr Lecter SC's Cosme Pere was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 44 minutes Bruce Lee F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mauro Romero who took care of the corner kick. In the 46th minute, Corneliu Dridu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iker Yashin was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Augusto do Nascimento to make the kick off. Dr Lecter SC's Cosme Pere played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sulev Antsov in the 54th minute of play. Bruce Lee F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luís Guilherme Gaúcho in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Faria in the 62nd minute of play forced Dr Lecter SC's goalkeeper Cosme Pere to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 67 minutes, Sílvio de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bruce Lee F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Sílvio de Senna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 74th minute of the match, Laércio Guedes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Iker Yashin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Laércio Guedes could shoot a difficult shot in the 77th minute, which Iker Yashin however easily saved by the left post. In the 81st minute, Laércio Guedes reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iker Yashin. The goal made the score 3-2. Bruce Lee F.C. made a substitution. Lauro Carneiro replaced Sílvio de Senna. Through an outstanding action, after 90 minutes, Iker Yashin successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 92 minutes into the match, Bruce Lee F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Laércio Guedes came free, but Iker Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cosme Pere showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Carneiro in the 94th minute of the match. Sulev Antsov might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cosme Pere. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sulev Antsov ran back to his position shaking his head.
