The audience thought a goal was coming when Cássio Ferraz got free with Alirio Oyuela in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Yuri da Cunha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dagoberto Sandoval went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. With his leg Alirio Oyuela managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Olivedos's Ricardinho Vianna fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Alirio Oyuela showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel de Godoi in the 20th minute of the match. In the 21st minute Abel de Godoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alirio Oyuela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yuri da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kang Cheng Ao in the 25th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Dagoberto Sandoval had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yuri da Cunha. Olivedos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dagoberto Sandoval was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. In the 33rd match minute, Clube do Remo MZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Almeida to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Olivedos's Luís Novaes got a free kick in the 36th minute. Alirio Oyuela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dagoberto Sandoval stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yuri da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dagoberto Sandoval in the 52nd minute of play. Yuri da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiaguinho Mandrak in the 58th minute of play. Cássio Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Olivedos's Kaká Passos was substituted for Ricardinho Vianna. Alirio Oyuela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yuri da Cunha made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Dagoberto Sandoval sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute, Tiaguinho Mandrak fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Abel de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luís Novaes kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Clube do Remo MZ's Yuri da Cunha threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tiaguinho Mandrak, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 93 minutes of play, Olivedos's Abel de Godoi made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alirio Oyuela was left in no man's land by his defense there! Olivedos succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Clube do Remo MZ had controlled the match.
