Luiz Guilherme Melo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guilherme Catarinense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Andrézinho Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximino Acevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurício Donatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the game, Joinville United - FSCMZ's Lennart Khan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maximino Acevedo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Maximino Acevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lennart Khan's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. Lennart Khan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão de Barros in the 100th minute of play forced Joinville United - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Guilherme Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
