Mickaël Maris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Carolo Cambranes made a great header on Nova Iguaçu MZFC's corner, it was just that Lobo Guará's Daniel Anaya managed to reach the ball for a save. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Carolo Cambranes sped through Lobo Guará's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Daniel Anaya. Ladislao Gerazan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Anaya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Luiz Fábio de Medeiros was slow to take the kick. During this time Nova Iguaçu MZFC's players had a chance to rest. Heitor Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the game, Ezequiel Pereira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mickaël Maris. Ezequiel Pereira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Daniel Anaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ladislao Gerazan in the 44th minute of play. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Ezequiel Pereira scored to the left of an out of position Mickaël Maris, making the score, 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Horaţiu Măcrinici to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ladislao Gerazan got free with Daniel Anaya in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lobo Guará's Daniel Anaya proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Lobo Guará from getting a goal against them. Lobo Guará made a substitution. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Ciro de Moraes put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mickaël Maris. If Laércio Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
