João Carlos Andrade made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With his leg Andres Ekhi managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Futuros FC's Marcos Fernandes fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Andres Ekhi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beto Smith in the 30th minute of the match. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Futuros FC's goalkeeper João Carlos Andrade, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 36 minutes Futuros FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Doron Bantz who took care of the corner kick. Marcos Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Carlos Andrade had in the 41stth minute some difficulties stopping Doron Bantz's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 41 minutes into the game, Doron Bantz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. João Carlos Andrade was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mai Xun Kang in the 45th minute of play. Futuros FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adhemar Furtado in the 47th minute. The corner ended in Adhemar Furtado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi did a great save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Krakaca Neto to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Fernandes in the 52nd minute of play forced Ricart Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Andres Ekhi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Carlos Andrade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel Ramalho's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Ricart Futebol Clube's Eusebio Hori slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of João Carlos Andrade. That made the score 1-4 after 80 minutes of play. In the 87th minute Marcos Fernandes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andres Ekhi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Eusebio Hori came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Ricart Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eusebio Hori couldn't finish the play. Andres Ekhi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Fernandes, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. João Carlos Andrade was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eusebio Hori showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 92 minute of play. The Ricart Futebol Clube supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ricart Futebol Clube would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
