The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Várzea F.C. booed when Compugraf was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guto Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Duda Veiga made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Alf Tennenbaum sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dé Montenegro in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duda Veiga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Carlos Augusto Quintal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xantalen Titos in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute Rogério Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duda Veiga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Valdomiro Duarte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Duda Veiga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdomiro Duarte in the 35th minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Xantalen Titos made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Várzea F.C.'s goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Quintal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xantalen Titos. Compugraf were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Várzea F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. He Nan Lei took the corner. 57 minutes into the match, Compugraf's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Saldanha came free, but Duda Veiga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Várzea F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdomiro Duarte to maneuver through the defense. Chico Freire blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Augusto Quintal having to make a save. Chico Freire could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Carlos Augusto Quintal made a huge save. Duda Veiga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rogério Saldanha went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score.
