An unexpectedly hard shot by Deilmison van Basten in the 18th minute of play forced Imbituba - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Sidney Motta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sidney Motta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Deilmison van Basten in the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the game, Imbituba - FSCMZ's Nathaniel Burnett nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rodriguinho Sousa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 24 minutes into the match, Imbituba - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Unax Mudarra came free, but Sidney Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Luís Fonseca was slow to take the kick. During this time Imbituba - FSCMZ's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Imbituba - FSCMZ's corner Pedro Luís Fonseca fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rodriguinho Sousa quite easily take care of the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Nathaniel Burnett recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rodriguinho Sousa. Nathaniel Burnett showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. When Simão do Vale fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ATHLETICO PRaiano's protests and gave Simão do Vale a yellow card for diving instead. Imbituba - FSCMZ made a substitution. Greg Drysdale replaced Pedro Luís Fonseca.
