Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Candido Urtsua made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Modesto Argenis in the 5th minute of play forced Achicó's goalkeeper Luisito Boniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luisito Boniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Argenis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Achicó's Luisito Boniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Argenis in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute Modesto Argenis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Boniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jairo Frasquito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Luisito Boniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Jairo Frasquito made a precise shot to the right of Luisito Boniel. Achicó's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Leonides Venerando recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jairo Frasquito blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisito Boniel having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Modesto Argenis in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luisito Boniel saved Achicó from getting behind. Luisito Boniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Argenis in the 32nd minute of play. In the 38th minute Jairo Frasquito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luisito Boniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jairo Frasquito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Cortines were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Modesto Argenis to strike the kick off in the second half. Modesto Argenis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luisito Boniel having to make a save. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Achicó's goalkeeper Luisito Boniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 52 played minutes Modesto Argenis rounded Achicó's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Achicó's Luisito Boniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Argenis in the 56th minute of play. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Achicó! When the match had been going on for 62 minutes, Cortines's Blas Sanduru got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Luisito Boniel. Jairo Frasquito had several of the Achicó's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 65 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Luisito Boniel as he didn't even see the shot coming. After a defensive mix-up in Achicó's zone, Modesto Argenis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luisito Boniel came out of the goal and Modesto Argenis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jairo Frasquito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luisito Boniel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Jairo Frasquito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Luisito Boniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Modesto Argenis came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Cortines fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Modesto Argenis couldn't finish the play. Candido Urtsua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jairo Frasquito's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Luisito Boniel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Luisito Boniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Argenis in the 94th minute of play. Luisito Boniel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Frasquito went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The Cortines supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cortines would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
