An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernabe Bastia in the 19th minute of play forced Mazán's goalkeeper Anibal Udalaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paolo Emeterio's late challenge caught a Huaycama FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paolo Emeterio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 20th match minute, Mazán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Emeterio to maneuver through the defense. In the 22nd minute, Generoso Saturnin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 23rd minute by Jaime Eneko got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bernabe Bastia couldn't finish the play. If Jaime Eneko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jaime Eneko's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anibal Udalaitz was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. In the 72nd minute Miguel Toro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anibal Udalaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anibal Udalaitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernabe Bastia went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Anibal Udalaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabe Bastia in the 94th minute of play. Huaycama FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
