Spectators: 7153 (Terracing: 5366, Seating: 1645, VIP seats: 142) Gilberto Chago's late challenge caught a Ceballos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilberto Chago helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Nueva Chicago getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Gilberto Chago hit a great ball. Ceballos's Delmiro Selatse couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nueva Chicago. 8 minutes into the match, Paolo Rocio notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ceballos's Haroldo Eder. Haroldo Eder was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 14th match minute, Ceballos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Herauso to maneuver through the defense. When Camilo Garoa came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Ceballos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camilo Garoa couldn't finish the play. Salvador Ferrando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adrian Manolache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paolo Rocio charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paolo Rocio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Camilo Garoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Salvador Ferrando having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Camilo Garoa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Salvador Ferrando. The goal made the score 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Camilo Garoa in the 34th minute of play forced Nueva Chicago's goalkeeper Salvador Ferrando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrian Manolache could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Salvador Ferrando made a huge save. Salvador Ferrando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camilo Garoa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ceballos's goalkeeper Haroldo Eder, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Florencio Curcio made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Nueva Chicago's Florencio Curcio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haroldo Eder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Dario Benat put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Salvador Ferrando. Salvador Ferrando made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Manolache in the 72nd minute of play. Salvador Ferrando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Manolache, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Nueva Chicago's Salvador Ferrando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Garoa in the 86th minute of play. In the 94th minute Camilo Garoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Salvador Ferrando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
