Hermengildo Mero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Teobaldo Barrionuevo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Siro Vincente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the game, Siro Vincente cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Hermengildo Mero was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Siro Vincente came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Los Hornos F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Siro Vincente couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Rivadavia getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Ildefonso Jacob hit a great ball. Godfredo Neto's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 41stth minute, Ceferino Luke skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobaldo Barrionuevo in the 44th minute of play forced Los Hornos F.C's goalkeeper Ceferino Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Revuelta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermengildo Mero having to interfere. Siro Vincente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Hermengildo Mero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Siro Vincente was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Danilo Eneas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rivadavia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Eneas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hermengildo Mero stood somewhat misplaced when Siro Vincente came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 55 minute. Ceferino Luke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Barrionuevo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ceferino Luke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Barrionuevo, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Teobaldo Barrionuevo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ceferino Luke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Teobaldo Barrionuevo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teobaldo Barrionuevo might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ceferino Luke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teobaldo Barrionuevo ran back to his position shaking his head. Ceferino Luke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfredo Neto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ceferino Luke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Barrionuevo in the 86th minute of the match. Godfredo Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Ceferino Luke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Godfredo Neto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ceferino Luke was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. After 97 played minutes Rivadavia got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Barrionuevo. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Los Hornos F.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
