Lucjan Gendolla might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jimeno Piñeiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucjan Gendolla ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Tala defense, Lucjan Gendolla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jimeno Piñeiro. The Tala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jimeno Piñeiro should have stopped the shot. Dalmacio Weterio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisito Mercurio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelo Etor in the 19th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaétan Rooney got free with Jimeno Piñeiro in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes into the game, Dalmacio Weterio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ElchinoTeam's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tala the free kick. After 27 played minutes ElchinoTeam got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Weterio. 29 minutes into the match, Dalmacio Weterio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jimeno Piñeiro, 3-0. Angelo Etor's late challenge caught a ElchinoTeam's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Angelo Etor helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of ElchinoTeam booed when Tala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Etor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jimeno Piñeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dalmacio Weterio, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucjan Gendolla in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimeno Piñeiro saved Tala from getting behind. Flavio Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 40 minutes into the game, Dalmacio Weterio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jimeno Piñeiro. Dalmacio Weterio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. After 44 played minutes Tala got a freekick which was hit by Michel Björklund. Flavio Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Piñeiro having to interfere. After a rather tough play, ElchinoTeam's Gaétan Rooney got a free kick in the 47th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Angelo Etor made the kick off in the second half. Dalmacio Weterio took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jimeno Piñeiro. Jimeno Piñeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. When Gogo Abarca fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tala's protests and gave Gogo Abarca a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of ElchinoTeam booed when Tala was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gogo Abarca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michel Björklund hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Dalmacio Weterio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Jimeno Piñeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
