Spectators: 7102 (Terracing: 5328, Seating: 1633, VIP seats: 141) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nunez Seme started the match with the kick off. Minko Trichkov made a fantastic save in the 2nd minute, when Albino Iruinea sent off a good shot on target. Viale AFC's Minko Trichkov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Arnau in the 7th minute of play. Ruben Gai kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Ruben Gai hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Albino Iruinea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Minko Trichkov came out and tried to block the shot, but Albino Iruinea slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. After having played for 18 minutes, Nunez Seme managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viale AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nunez Seme was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zeledon Clis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nunez Seme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albino Iruinea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Minko Trichkov having to interfere. Zeledon Clis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nunez Seme's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Natalio Diaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Zeledon Clis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 40 played minutes Club A. River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Mateo Baleren. After some careless play in the Club A. River Plate defense, Astor Cortez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeledon Clis. The Club A. River Plate fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeledon Clis should have stopped the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Feliciano Arnau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Albino Iruinea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th match minute, Viale AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacobo Barea to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Viale AFC booed when Club A. River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Victorino Oidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. The throw-in from Cornelio Abadie in the 79th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Viale AFC's Natalio Diaz. In the 82nd minute Victorino Oidor suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 82 minutes, Ruben Gai mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Viale AFC and the Club A. River Plate players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ruben Gai hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. If Albino Iruinea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute of the match Cornelio Abadie sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Minko Trichkov skillfully saved the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Albino Iruinea in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Minko Trichkov prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Viale AFC's Mauricio Dimas quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Cornelio Abadie, made in the 95th minute of the game. In the 96th match minute, Club A. River Plate was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliciano Arnau to maneuver through the defense. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
