In the 16th match minute, Ballesteros AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximiliano Gonzales to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute of the match Cipriano Fiz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lisandro Ixaka skillfully saved the ball. In the 23rd minute, Shelby FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pedro Romo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. A hard shot 25 in the game by Dante Lano from a close distance when the talented Richard Oliveira managed to make a qualified save. Shelby FC's players were relieved. Dante Lano received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Dario Kelemen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shelby FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dario Kelemen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Antonio Eduino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute, Cristo Cesario sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Shelby FC's Richard Oliveira didn't even have to move. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dante Lano was the one to do the kick off. Ballesteros AFC's Pedro Romo got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zeledon Perfecto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Lisandro Ixaka tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
