Javier Celipe hit a great ball. Emanuel Jon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Feliberto Caitano's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the game, Atlético de Rafaela's David Viviano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Gabrio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Peguahó's goal looked a bit too open when Elvio Eztebe came free, but Jonathan Gabrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Javier Celipe kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Atlético de Rafaela defense, Humberto Oalo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Jon. The Atlético de Rafaela fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Jon should have stopped the shot. After 24 played minutes Peguahó got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Oalo. Fausto Teodor charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Teodor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 32 minutes, Feliberto Caitano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peguahó's supporters crossed their fingers, but Feliberto Caitano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Peguahó's zone, Elvio Eztebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Gabrio came out of the goal and Elvio Eztebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Feliberto Caitano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aquilino Esquipula received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jonathan Gabrio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Feliberto Caitano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Jon having to interfere. Jonathan Gabrio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Viviano, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. After a rather tough play, Atlético de Rafaela's Aurelio Rubio got a free kick in the 74th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Peguahó's goal looked a bit too open when Elvio Eztebe came free, but Jonathan Gabrio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Gabrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Esquipula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atlético de Rafaela's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
