Shaqui's Eustacio Gonzales played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Claus in the 25th minute of play. Romulo Claus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 40 minutes into the match, PAULISTA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Rubio came free, but Silvano Ovando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basilio Rubio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Silvano Ovando came out and tried to block the shot, but Basilio Rubio slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romulo Claus to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as PAULISTA F.C's Romulo Claus slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eustacio Gonzales. That made the score 2-1 after 53 minutes of play. 57 minutes into the match, PAULISTA F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Angel Rojelio came free, but Silvano Ovando reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvano Ovando stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Basilio Rubio's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. David Venerando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Eustacio Gonzales tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Basilio Rubio in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvano Ovando saved PAULISTA F.C from getting behind. David Venerando who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Eustacio Gonzales when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 80 minutes, Bernabe Silban mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shaqui and the PAULISTA F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Shaqui booed when PAULISTA F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Froilan Ospetsu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Angel Rojelio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 92 played minutes, Shaqui's Rodolfo Pirro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Silvano Ovando came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Shaqui reached it. Angel Rojelio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute.
