In the 9th minute, Garcia Neivirt's Romulo Paublo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Ermegildo Caetano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Monico in the 16th minute of play. After 19 minutes, Honorio Rios mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pedernera and the Garcia Neivirt players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 21 minutes, Aaron Santikurtz made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Garcia Neivirt's Ermegildo Caetano tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Aaron Santikurtz might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ermegildo Caetano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aaron Santikurtz ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Garcia Neivirt's Guillermo Colas got a free kick in the 31st minute. It was beautiful to see Pedernera's Alfredo Canor in action when he in the 33rd minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aaron Santikurtz in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ermegildo Caetano saved Garcia Neivirt from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aaron Santikurtz in the 37th minute of play forced Garcia Neivirt's goalkeeper Ermegildo Caetano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gualterio Ricart fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garcia Neivirt's protests and gave Gualterio Ricart a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes Garcia Neivirt got a freekick which was hit by Gualterio Ricart. Garcia Neivirt's Ermegildo Caetano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorato Monico in the 42nd minute of play. After 43 played minutes Garcia Neivirt got a freekick which was hit by Clodoveo Iratze. Erasmo Sandaili took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ermegildo Caetano. Garcia Neivirt's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Aaron Santikurtz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Pedernera's Carlos Ascencio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romulo Paublo in the 51st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Romulo Paublo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlos Ascencio was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. In the 55th minute Aaron Santikurtz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Caetano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Garcia Neivirt's Ermegildo Caetano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aaron Santikurtz in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Paublo in the 61st minute of play forced Pedernera's goalkeeper Carlos Ascencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute, Fernando Dominguez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Ascencio was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Ermegildo Caetano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Aaron Santikurtz showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 67 minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Pedernera's goal looked a bit too open when Clodoveo Iratze came free, but Carlos Ascencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Arnaldo Bilbo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Garcia Neivirt's zone, Honorato Monico stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Caetano came out of the goal and Honorato Monico tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Honorato Monico made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 79thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Ermegildo Caetano would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. With a little luck, Garcia Neivirt's Ermegildo Caetano got control of the ball when Honorato Monico tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match Celedonio Colon shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Ascencio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ermegildo Caetano came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Pedernera's Honorato Monico. But to his dismay, Honorato Monico quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Honorato Monico came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ermegildo Caetano could save by the left post. Pedernera were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Garcia Neivirt to leave the ground with a draw.
