Ruperto Mingo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Edorta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Cesar Hanot fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alegre's protests and gave Cesar Hanot a yellow card for diving instead. In the 32nd match minute, Alegre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Hanot to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Ruperto Mingo managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Real Madrid's Maximo Leguizamón fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ruperto Mingo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Edorta in the 40th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiburcio Guter made a kick off. Americo Sindo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Ruperto Mingo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ruperto Mingo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tiburcio Guter's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Alegre's Ruperto Mingo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Guter in the 56th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tiburcio Guter in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ruperto Mingo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st match minute, Alegre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Vasco to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 64 minutes, Jorge Edorta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Edorta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Americo Sindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Godofredo Rudolfo hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Real Madrid's Tiburcio Guter got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
