The supporters of deportivo Ipona booed when C.A.Meta Y Ponga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabriel Tximitx didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the game, Emil Cretu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Sebastian Elazar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sixto Otsando charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sixto Otsando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sixto Otsando kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, C.A.Meta Y Ponga's Florentino Urtsin tried to score from far away in the 33rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Virgilio Poncio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Nazario having to interfere. Emil Cretu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastian Elazar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After the first half deportivo Ipona were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emil Cretu was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emil Cretu in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Elazar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Emil Cretu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastian Elazar came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by deportivo Ipona's Emil Cretu. But to his dismay, Emil Cretu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 66th match minute, C.A.Meta Y Ponga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Tximitx to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Elazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Cretu, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 73rd match minute, deportivo Ipona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Urdaspal to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th match minute, deportivo Ipona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervasio Santana to maneuver through the defense. Fermin Quinten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Nazario having to interfere. Ali Nejat Titiz took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sebastian Elazar. Sebastian Elazar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When Emil Cretu came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the deportivo Ipona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emil Cretu couldn't finish the play. Serafin Nazario took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgilio Poncio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fermin Quinten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Tximitx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Serafin Nazario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
