The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gregorio Virila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romelio Neira in the 8th minute of play. Moreno's Astor Guillen was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Liviu Boeru in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Nicanor Nuñez's late challenge caught a Moreno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Nuñez helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Moreno booed when Santamarina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicanor Nuñez didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Prospero Toribio in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Liviu Boeru saved Santamarina from getting behind. 1-0 became the score in the 21st minute when Prospero Toribio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Genaro Jago kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute of the match Cornelio Leheren shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gregorio Virila showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Prospero Toribio lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Liviu Boeru. Gregorio Virila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Rocendo in the 30th minute of the match. In the 31st minute, Romelio Neira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gregorio Virila was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a rather tough play, Santamarina's Dante Natanael got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 39th minute, Manuel Rocendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santamarina's Liviu Boeru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Santamarina from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Santamarina's zone, Prospero Toribio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Liviu Boeru came out of the goal and Prospero Toribio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Moreno's Astor Guillen got a free kick in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute, Alfonso Artal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cornelio Leheren's late challenge caught a Moreno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gregorio Virila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Santamarina's goal looked a bit too open when Prospero Toribio came free, but Liviu Boeru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 played minutes Moreno got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Arce. Moreno's Gregorio Virila proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Moreno from getting a goal against them. Damaso Lluc sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manuel Rocendo hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After 83 minutes of play, Moreno's Prospero Toribio made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Liviu Boeru was left in no man's land by his defense there! Hikmet İlbey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Liviu Boeru having to interfere. Liviu Boeru showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damaso Lluc in the 95th minute of the match. Moreno walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
