But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Burni couldn't finish the play. Pontevedra Futbol Club's Dionisio Bartoleme proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Pontevedra Futbol Club from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aquilino Gilen was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Candelaria FC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Ernesto Mogel hit a great ball. Paulino Burni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Candelaria FC's Aquilino Gilen got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Dionisio Bartoleme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robustiano Abaurre in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute Aquilino Gilen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Bartoleme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Candelaria FC fully deserved thier win.
