In the 9th minute Hermengildo Azubeli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Herrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliseo Bibiano's late challenge caught a Depor La Plata's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 20th minute Jorge Ricart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Paul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Taco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Ricart came free, but Saturnino Paul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 25 played minutes Depor La Plata got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Fagildo. 27 minutes into the match, Depor La Plata's goalkeeper Guaberto Herrera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hermengildo Azubeli. Hugo Raebert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Saturnino Paul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hugo Raebert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Hermengildo Azubeli fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Taco FC's protests and gave Hermengildo Azubeli a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Taco FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Hermengildo Azubeli hit a great ball. Depor La Plata's Guaberto Herrera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Higinio Mundo in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Higinio Mundo in the 42nd minute of play forced Depor La Plata's goalkeeper Guaberto Herrera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermengildo Azubeli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Guaberto Herrera made a huge save. Saturnino Paul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Severo Laurin in the 46th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hermengildo Azubeli made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Higinio Mundo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guaberto Herrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 53rd match minute, Depor La Plata was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Fagildo to maneuver through the defense. Guaberto Herrera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Mundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Guaberto Herrera came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Taco FC's Eliseo Cebrian. But to his dismay, Eliseo Cebrian quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. Taco FC made a substitution. Marco Bilbo replaced Ezequiel Segio. Taco FC's Saturnino Paul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Raebert in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute Ovidio Perez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saturnino Paul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Taco FC's goalkeeper Saturnino Paul had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Ricart. Saturnino Paul made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jorge Ricart in the 92nd minute. Guaberto Herrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermengildo Azubeli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 played minutes Depor La Plata got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Ricart. Many of Depor La Plata's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Depor La Plata may have spent more time on the ball, but Taco FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
