But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Enzo Burgnich couldn't finish the play. In the 7th minute Astor Mercurio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Loiola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Burgnich in the 10th minute of play forced C.A.MUNRO's goalkeeper Maximo Oliviero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Radomil Brzonkala could shoot a difficult shot in the 11th minute, which Jorge Loiola however easily saved by the left post. In the 15th match minute, Humboldt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antonio Casado to maneuver through the defense. Jorge Loiola didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damaso Lazcano went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jorge Loiola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Astor Mercurio's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. In the 21st match minute, Humboldt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Oskitz to maneuver through the defense. Humboldt's Jorge Loiola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raúl Messias in the 25th minute of play. C.A.MUNRO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Raúl Messias in the 26th minute. Maximo Oliviero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enzo Burgnich in the 27th minute of play. C.A.MUNRO's Maximo Oliviero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Burgnich in the 29th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, C.A.MUNRO's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Erroman came free, but Maximo Oliviero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of C.A.MUNRO booed when Humboldt was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enzo Burgnich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celso Erroman's late challenge caught a C.A.MUNRO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Celso Erroman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 48th minute, Celso Erroman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Enzo Burgnich to strike the kick off in the second half. 63 minutes into the match, C.A.MUNRO's goalkeeper Maximo Oliviero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enzo Burgnich. 65 minutes into the match, Humboldt's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Primo came free, but Jorge Loiola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 minutes, Aquilino Matxin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Humboldt and the C.A.MUNRO players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aquilino Matxin kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Humboldt's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Mercurio came free, but Jorge Loiola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 69 played minutes C.A.MUNRO got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Primo. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Fabio Jayvier managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.MUNRO's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabio Jayvier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Loiola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jorge Loiola came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.MUNRO's Astor Mercurio. But to his dismay, Astor Mercurio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Astor Mercurio took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jorge Loiola. Jorge Loiola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 87 minutes into the match, Humboldt's goal looked a bit too open when Vicente Primo came free, but Jorge Loiola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Loiola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabio Jayvier, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Humboldt's Jorge Loiola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomil Brzonkala in the 93rd minute of play. C.A.MUNRO's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
