To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute of the match Ubaldo Amato sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Humberto Bertran skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Virreyes FC's Pastor Donostia got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Jacinto Lano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvaldo Evarado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Saturnino Goi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Virreyes FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Athlétic Club Dominico.
