Spectators: 7059 (Terracing: 5296, Seating: 1623, VIP seats: 140) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Maximo Crescencio started the match with the kick off. Gualterio Guillerme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carolina's Elpidio Sotero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Carolina from getting a goal against them. Gaston Danel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Carolina getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Albino Gar hit a great ball. Elpidio Sotero was a little too slow when Maximo Crescencio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 12th minute. The score was now 1-0. David Maldonado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Elpidio Sotero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Maximo Crescencio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Victor Chucho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albino Gar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute, Rancho FC's Oscar Jax dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Maximo Crescencio might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elpidio Sotero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximo Crescencio ran back to his position shaking his head. Elpidio Sotero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Belmiro in the 40th minute of play. Gaston Danel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Victor Chucho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gualterio Guillerme made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, one of Rancho FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rancho FC. In the 64th minute Maximo Crescencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Sotero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute David Maldonado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Sotero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximo Crescencio in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elpidio Sotero prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oscar Jax was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Oscar Jax hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 75 minutes, Tomás Acuña managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Carolina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Acuña was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Rancho FC's goalkeeper Victor Chucho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaston Danel. Gualterio Guillerme sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celestino Jerano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Chucho having to interfere. Rancho FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Carolina for a fine match.
