Lomas de Banfield's Aaron Jara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Blas Hustaz in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Dolfos in the 25th minute of play forced Timbres F.C.'s goalkeeper Jesus Ubendu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jesus Ubendu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Dolfos, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 31st minute, Timbres F.C.'s Remigio Vimaro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Aaron Jara. Aaron Jara yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Ciriaco Dolfos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lomas de Banfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Dolfos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesus Ubendu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, Ciriaco Dolfos notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Timbres F.C.'s Jesus Ubendu. Jesus Ubendu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Timbres F.C.'s Nestoras Egonidis got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Jesus Ubendu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelo Costantino went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The Timbres F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Lomas de Banfield were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Blas Hustaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Jairo Urtats hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jesus Ubendu firmly grabbed it by the left post. 75 minutes into the match, Americo Bieito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aaron Jara. Lomas de Banfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Americo Bieito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Ciriaco Dolfos charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciriaco Dolfos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Lomas de Banfield's Ciriaco Dolfos got a free kick in the 94th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Lomas de Banfield had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
