Anacleto Ulizes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guaberto Tajo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Gonzalo Asier reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anacleto Ulizes. The goal made the score 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Asier in the 42nd minute of play forced Moreira's goalkeeper Anacleto Ulizes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 minutes of play, Godoy Cruz's Saul Tajo made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anacleto Ulizes was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th minute Gonzalo Asier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anacleto Ulizes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anacleto Ulizes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Domingo Ciceron's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Israel Euloxu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anacleto Ulizes having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Tajo in the 88th minute of play forced Moreira's goalkeeper Anacleto Ulizes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guaberto Tajo struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Anacleto Ulizes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Godoy Cruz. Godoy Cruz's Domingo Ciceron got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Godoy Cruz were the better team. Godoy Cruz's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
