After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Recreo's goalkeeper Raul Erramun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaias Arlo during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Isaias Arlo hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Apolo Dalmu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Constantino Manilan might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raul Erramun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Constantino Manilan ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew the final whistle, Recreo could leave the field as winners, despite Ituzaingó FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
