The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Iker Eguzki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute, Isaias Faro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8th minute, Witold Dulka left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cieneguilla fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Edelmiro Mergildo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Luján's Norberto Argina. Norberto Argina was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute Witold Dulka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Argina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norberto Argina didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Matias Erroman went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Blas Guzman kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The Luján players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cieneguilla were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Blas Guzman was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Luján's goalkeeper Norberto Argina, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Witold Dulka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cieneguilla's supporters rose to their feet, but Witold Dulka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Norberto Argina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Blas Guzman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Evaristo Maia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norberto Argina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matias Erroman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Cieneguilla booed when Luján was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Iker Eguzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Matias Erroman came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Cieneguilla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matias Erroman couldn't finish the play. In the 75th match minute, Luján was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Octavio Errando to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Matias Erroman sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Luján's Norberto Argina didn't even have to move. With a little luck, Luján's Norberto Argina got control of the ball when Gavino Beltran tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 81st minute, Edelmiro Mergildo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Norberto Argina was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. Norberto Argina made an important save on a dangerous shot by Esteve Mino in the 86th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edelmiro Mergildo got free with Norberto Argina in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luján's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Matias Erroman 89 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matias Erroman in the 92nd minute of play forced Luján's goalkeeper Norberto Argina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cieneguilla's zone, Iker Eguzki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evaristo Maia came out of the goal and Iker Eguzki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute Matias Erroman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Argina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cieneguilla's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
