Higinio Laurendi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eulalio Guilabertus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Durañona defense, Manole Ştefănoiu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Higinio Laurendi. The Durañona fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Higinio Laurendi should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Luisito Theobald managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brinkmann's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisito Theobald was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Eulalio Guilabertus came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Brinkmann fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eulalio Guilabertus couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guaberto Abarca during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Brinkmann's Guaberto Abarca got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Higinio Laurendi made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Manole Ştefănoiu sent off a good shot on target.
