After a rather tough play, Wiki Wiki's Aristides Iigo got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Carmelo Virila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximino Eli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esbjörn Blixt, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 37 minutes into the match, João Augusto Carvalho notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Wiki Wiki's Maximino Eli. Maximino Eli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evaristo Hug was the one to do the kick off. Juarês Netto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Hug in the 62nd minute of play. Talleres Fc's Carmelo Virila got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Carmelo Virila's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maximino Eli was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. If 邵霆锋 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 邵霆锋 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 81 minutes into the match, Talleres Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Evaristo Hug came free, but Juarês Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
