In the 22ndth minute of the game Evaristo Hug who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saavedra AFC's Nicanor Mederi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With 23 minutes on the clock, Aaron Micael commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Wiki Wiki:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Saavedra AFC:s goal. Wiki Wiki:s Maximino Eli showed great skill when he stopped Ladislao Fagondo:s penalty. Marcial Atauri came free with the goalkeeper in the 26th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Maximino Eli could save by the left post. Marcial Atauri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Eli having to interfere. When Benedicto Otsoko fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saavedra AFC's protests and gave Benedicto Otsoko a yellow card for diving instead. After 40 played minutes Saavedra AFC got a freekick which was hit by Benedicto Otsoko. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

54 minutes into the game, Evaristo Hug lined in a short shot 0-5 behind a frustrated Nicanor Mederi. After 60 minutes, Ivan Goren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Saavedra AFC and the Wiki Wiki players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 60 played minutes Saavedra AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Goren. Maximino Eli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Atauri, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Ivan Goren might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximino Eli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivan Goren ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 73 minutes, Evaristo Hug managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wiki Wiki's supporters crossed their fingers, but Evaristo Hug was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Saavedra AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Angel Haritzeder hit a great ball. Evaristo Hug in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nicanor Mederi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Rene Criston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wiki Wiki's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
