Tiburcio Mitxaut showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramon Chago, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. In the 12th minute, Ramon Chago ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiburcio Mitxaut was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Oskar Widberg put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Maximino Eufrasio. Maximino Eufrasio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Indar in the 19th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Oskar Widberg put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Maximino Eufrasio. Ramon Chago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Bernardino Flores hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the match, -SOPHROSYNE-'s goal looked a bit too open when Oskar Widberg came free, but Maximino Eufrasio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Fertus charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvaro Fertus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Newells Toro booed when -SOPHROSYNE- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvaro Fertus didn't get a good kick on the ball. With his leg Tiburcio Mitxaut managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when -SOPHROSYNE-'s Omar Galeno fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ramon Chago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Tiburcio Mitxaut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Newells Toro were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramon Chago was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Ramon Chago notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Newells Toro's Tiburcio Mitxaut. Tiburcio Mitxaut was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Ramon Chago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Newells Toro booed when -SOPHROSYNE- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicasio Soin didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Oskar Widberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maximino Eufrasio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oskar Widberg in the 71st minute of the match. Alvaro Fertus might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiburcio Mitxaut. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alvaro Fertus ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Newells Toro's Honorio Gabino got a free kick in the 81st minute. Tiburcio Mitxaut didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Omar Galeno went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. 88 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Newells Toro's Oskar Widberg fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 90th minute, Oskar Widberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Newells Toro's Oskar Widberg in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye -SOPHROSYNE-'s goalie prevented a goal. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. -SOPHROSYNE- were victorious despite being under pressure from Newells Toro for much of the match.
