After 11 minutes, Eloy Ezkerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Levante U.D. and the Muralla Dorada players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Levante U.D.'s Eloy Ezkerra got a free kick in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Sauveur in the 13th minute of play forced Levante U.D.'s goalkeeper Eulalio Cordarius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eduardo Guillelmo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Evaristo Pirmin came out and tried to block the shot, but Eduardo Guillelmo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. Muralla Dorada's Evaristo Pirmin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Muralla Dorada from getting a goal against them. If Eloy Ezkerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the game, Dionisio Lain was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Levante U.D.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Muralla Dorada the free kick. After a rather tough play, Levante U.D.'s Dionisio Lain got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eduardo Guillelmo to make the kick off. Levante U.D.'s Dionisio Lain got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eduardo Guillelmo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evaristo Pirmin having to make a save. 67 minutes into the match, Muralla Dorada's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Guillelmo came free, but Evaristo Pirmin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Dionisio Lain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Muralla Dorada's goalkeeper Evaristo Pirmin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Kjell Åkesson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Levante U.D. had played much better football throughout.
