Pedro Romano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Teofilo Roderigo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 51 minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Sportivo Unido Republica's Gavino Perfecto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Romano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Maderas AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gavino Perfecto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2.
