The ball had pretty good speed, but Hemming Smyrner firmly grabbed it by the left post. Candido Arano kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Santiago Maxin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 22 minutes into the match, Riachuelo Jrs's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Arano came free, but Santiago Maxin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Club Fernández Oro's goalkeeper Hemming Smyrner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ivan Benino. Elvio Barto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Santiago Maxin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 minutes, Vicente Lugo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Fernández Oro and the Riachuelo Jrs players grew even worse after the yellow card. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andres Quirce to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Bilbo Herrero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Maxin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 52nd minute, Riachuelo Jrs's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Elvio Barto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hemming Smyrner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Candido Arano got free with Santiago Maxin in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute Andres Quirce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hemming Smyrner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Riachuelo Jrs's Andres Quirce got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Fernández Oro's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
