They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerardo Ignazio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Colón AFC's Ceferino Venceslao slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Astor Policarpio. Astor Policarpio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gerardo Ignazio in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valentin Perfecto saved Colón AFC from getting behind. Colón AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
