After 12 minutes, Osvaldo Camerino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pilahué and the Seco players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 12 played minutes Pilahué got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Camerino. Teofilo Lucero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Eusebio Esdras skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Seco's Aurelio Ebardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eulalio Costante in the 23rd minute of play. When Mateo Natanael fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pilahué's protests and gave Mateo Natanael a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute, one of Pilahué:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Pilahué. After some careless play in the Pilahué defense, Sebastian Barbosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eusebio Esdras. The Pilahué fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eusebio Esdras should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute, Teofilo Lucero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eusebio Esdras was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Esteban Hanot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teofilo Lucero got free with Eusebio Esdras in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Lehoi in the 54th minute of play forced Pilahué's goalkeeper Eusebio Esdras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eulalio Costante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Aurelio Ebardo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pilahué's zone, Teofilo Lucero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusebio Esdras came out of the goal and Teofilo Lucero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 63rdth minute of the game Saul Lehoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pilahué's Eusebio Esdras was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eusebio Esdras showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Lucero, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The supporters of Seco booed when Pilahué was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Eli didn't get a good kick on the ball.
