When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elvio Dubardo made a kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Peñico AFC's Jaime Viator sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nemesio Silbestre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 65 minutes of play, Peñico AFC's Natalio Machado made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nemesio Silbestre was left in no man's land by his defense there! 69 minutes into the game, Peñico AFC's Natalio Machado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nemesio Silbestre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Ramiro Mitxaut received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gaston Tavio came out and tried to block the shot, but Ramiro Mitxaut slotted it home off the left post making it 2-4 in the 77th minute. In the 81st minute Elvio Dubardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Tavio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Elvio Dubardo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 92 minutes, Jaime Viator managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peñico AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Viator was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peñico AFC's Natalio Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Peñico AFC lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
